Find Out Why Your Tire Pressure Light is On

At DCH Acura of Temecula, we love the tire pressure monitoring system found in so many vehicles. Our goal is to help you be safe on the road, so it’s important to know why your tire pressure light may be on.

Your first thought may be to ignore the light, hoping that it is nothing to be concerned about. As tires heat up throughout the day, the PSI can change. When this happens, the light may come on. Over time, the light will go off on its own.

However, the light is on because there is a PSI change. It might be time to manually check the air pressure to see if it is too low or too high. There may be damage to the tire or one of the sensors may need to be replaced. Either way, it’s best to find out than to make an assumption.
